A letter to a 28-year-old Me
Dear Adult Me,
What’s up? Life’s been crazy, funny, expected, unexpected& maybe
beautiful enough. Despite all the ups and downs, you have managed to wear
glitter every day.Isn’t this a success story in itself?
I assume you’re reading this on an exciting note and that you have been
keeping busy. Every day is a fresh episode of distinct experiences, love and
laughter. Ten years ago, you were all about the aspirations and dreams you had
and wanted to fulfil. And today I am sure that all that you had planned has
turned into reality. You are living your dreams. All the puzzle pieces fit together to make the picture complete, all the parts now make senseI hope you have become discreet about things you do.You have more
responsibilities to fulfill, bills to pay and you are having a hard time
balancing your life.Trust that things will work out and if not, you change the
charted course. And Listen out to this - wherever you have reached, whatever
you have achieved, remember, there is no final destination.
Set goals, both lofty and reasonable. Make a life you are obsessed with!
Camp in the woods. Build a fire. Have some wine. Stay up late. Climb a
mountain.Eat good food cooked from scratch. See live music. Immerse yourself in
a good book. Did you go on that much awaited ZNMD trip with your long-lost
buddies? If not, what are you waiting for?Life is all about loving and being loved.
Trust the ones that make you feel the most you, love them with all your heart
and never let them go.Seize the day, my friend. No matter how much you try, you will always miss out on something or the other. Try to enjoy what you have right here, right now, for this is all you have.
Go and step out of your Den!
Lots of love,
Your 18-year-old Self
